Christmas Donations

At the Sorrento Food Bank we rely on the generosity of our community members to help us provide for those in need in the areas we serve.  December is for sure the month in which we have the largest need, and the month in which we deliver our largest hampers which include small gifts for everyone in the family.  Here are a few ways that you can help:

  1. Donate non-perishable goods from our regular needs list (see below).
  2. Donate specialty items for the Christmas hampers such as olives, pickles, chocolates, fancy cookies, smoked oysters  & nuts.
  3. Donate a gift item for a child or an adult.
  4. Donate cash – we purchase fresh foods:  proteins, vegetables, dairy and grains for each hamper and your donation of cash goes a long way.
  5. Sponsor a hamper.  For more information on how to do this and what is involved please contact our office.

Christmas Hampers

If you know of an individual or a family that has come upon hard times this year and could benefit from a Christmas hamper, please contact our office by December 15th.  Christmas hampers will be delivered to recipients on December 22nd.
